In perfect post retrograde fashion, I’m bringing sexy back! Lol. I meant I’m bringing self awareness back. 2019 was when I was kicked out of two homes back to back. That rock bottom era is what brought me back to myself. I felt like I didn’t have any other choice but to look within for happiness and understanding of life since my outer reality was so bad. Thus, I began my spiritual journey.
I spent months learning how to meditate and read tarot cards. I watched countless readings and went through multiple journals writing out my thoughts and feelings trying to get a deep understanding of myself. I took daily walks looking to clear and tame my mind. I read over 20 books about self awareness, the laws of attraction, and consciousness. I spent two years unpacking every piece of my life from my childhood, to my parents background, to my habits. Doing this deep introspection taught me so much about myself and it gave me the awareness that I needed to pinpoint the thought patterns, habits, and character traits that were holding me back from being fulfilled in my life.
One of the biggest things I discovered on that journey was that I was carrying around massive amounts of bitterness, resentment, fear, and shame surrounding my past. These deep seated emotions and unresolved trauma caused me to neglect myself subconsciously. It was always hard for me to believe in my ideas and I was so angry at the world. I definitely had an icebox where my heart used to be. By the time I came out of that period of deep introspection, I had learned how to release pent up trauma, emotions, and stress. I had forgiven myself and others for mistakes made in the past. I grew stronger boundaries and became better at expressing myself and my needs.
After being on this journey for two years I had gained a following for my spiritual content, readings, and overall uplifting messages. I had people in my dms, as well as my clients constantly asking me for guidance and advice on how they can better understand themselves and reach their fullest potential. This is what sparked my interest in writing a guide for people that they could download digitally and keep on their phones. So, for a few weeks, I dedicated time everyday to creating the 10 Step Guide To Self Awareness.
This quick-read guide is written solely by me to help people like you learn more about themselves. I often refer to it as a GPS with the destination set to “self”. This guidebook is full of introspective questions that are meant to guide you deeper into yourself. The intention is that you ask yourself these questions and journal your answers. Then, refer back to the guidebook to reflect. This practice will allow you to dive into the parts of yourself that you may hide from, be ashamed of, or unaware of. By the time you complete journaling your answers to each page, you will have developed a much deeper understanding of why you are the way that you are. You can use this knowledge as a roadmap to developing yourself into the person that you’ve always wanted to be!
With me recently tapping back into my fullest authenticity, I figured that it was only right that I updated and re-released my first piece of written work into the world. I know that this guide helped a lot of people back in 2021 when it was first written, but there may still be people out there who could benefit from these pages.
Not only do I seek to help others through my art, but I also look to inspire others by being a leading example. I hope that every time you see me post a new article, guidebook, or project, it inspires you to believe in your potential. I can’t remember his name, but I heard a spiritual practitioner say to one of his clients that, “If you feel called to express it, then there will be someone who feels called to receive it.” Remember this as you muster up the courage to express whatever is on your heart. The world needs you.
